Random Christmas Fluff

With Christmas over we are winding down to the New Year. We were very blessed this year with health and happiness. Our Christmas was excellent and we had a great time. The kids are both enjoying their time off from school, as am I. We have been sleeping late and staying in our jammies all day! It is wonderful!

Here is some random Christmas fluff for you enjoyment!

Tatum and Brady opening gifts.

Taylor and Papa

This is seriously one of Tatum's favorite gifts! She has carried this thing with her everywhere she goes. She tried taking it to church on Sunday, but we talked her into leaving it at home. Not so much for Sunday night church. I have literally untangled this thing 100 times a day! She can't wait to go fishing with her Papa!

This is a gift Taylor got from my sisters. I don't know if they are secretly trying to kill Taylor or what, but this thing is a death stick. I have seriously put band-aids on him daily because of crashes on this thing. We did finally acquired elbow, wrist and knee pad (Thanks Aunt Sherry) and a helmet and is not to ride again with out them!

Tatum received some lipgloss and nail polish for going poopie in the potty twice, since we have not been bugging her about pottying in the potty, she has decide on her own to start. Matt walked in our bathroom the other night to find her sitting on the potty pooping, by herself! I guess that was her Christmas present to us. She has since been going in the potty. She has aboutn one accident a day, but it is just tee-tee, so I can deal with that! Here she is modeling her new lipgloss.

Taylor's gift from Santa. This is truely the most fun game ever! I highly reccommend it. You can have up to 4 players in your "band". One sings, really they have some weird way of knowing if you are on key, one plays the guitar bass or regular, and the other drums. Taylor prefers the drums. Matt plays the guitar, therefore I am left singing. Yep, it is a sight.

This was the only thing that Tatum told Santa over and over she wanted. "A Barbie with wings with purple" to be exact. It is really the Island of Princess barbie that she is talking about. They have a dress that she can wear that looks exactly like her barbie. Here she is modeling it.

Taylor playing the drums. Look at that concentration!

Overheard

Tonight we went to see Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie and Tatum was in her carseat and Taylor was sitting in the back with her. We were waiting in a long line of traffic and Tatum was being rowdy. As in my previous post you can recall her "Are you Happy" questioning.

Well last night she was bugging Taylor and she said "Bubba, are you happy?" Taylor said, "no". Tatum proceeded to tell him "Bubba you get happy or I'll kill you!" She is a mess! We enjoyed the entire hour that it took for us to look at the lights!

Are You Happy?

This is Tatum's new catch phrase. Like Paris Hilton's "That's hot". Tatum's is "Are You Happy?" This is usually followed by me getting on to her. For instance, I say, "Tatum, don't dump those chips out of your bowl." Tatum, "Ok Momma, are you happy?"

I love her!

Christmas Pictures

Our annual Christmas picture event is always a fun one. Really, by the time it is over I am sweating and the kids are a mess. But out of 185 pictures there were a few good ones.

What a handsome stud!

Christmas parties, Friends and SANTA!!!

Ok, this picture really has nothing to do with the title, but they are being so cute with each other. Usually when one wants to play the other doesn't But they were actually sitting like this watching a movie. AWWW!!

Wednesday night Church Pictures with Santa. Tatum, who had been talking about seeing Santa all day, was not so happy about seeing him in real life. She walked right up to him, with about 5 feet between them and told him she wanted a Barbie with Wings, and walked away. She would not sit on his lap or next to him no matter how hard we tried. Maybe next year. Taylor was happy to sit on Santa's lap!

Taylor's class Christmas Party was today and they enjoyed breakfast and making Gingerbread houses out of milk cartons and graham crackers. Here are Taylor and Tatum hard at work.

Then it was off to Brylee and Kaylee's house to exchange gifts. Really it was to get the girls together to play and Steph had bought them all these "build-a-bear" kits so that they could build them together.

Overheard 12/9/07

Tatum has become such a demanding diva. The other night we were trying to get her to go to bed and she kept calling for her daddy to bring or things or do something for her. It went like this.

Tatum: DADDY(screaming from her room)
Daddy: Yes, Tatum?
Tatum: Get me milk. (no please or thank you)
(daddy takes her milk)
Tatum: (just as daddy sits back down) DADDY!!!!
Daddy: Yes, Tatum?
Tatum: Get my ponies (My Little Pony's she got from Mimi)
Daddy: Ok, there you go.
(daddy tries to sit down yet again)
Tatum: DADDY!!!!!
Daddy: (growing tired of this game) Yes, Tatum how may I serve you?
Tatum: I want to watch Barbies, not Caliou.
Daddy: (changes the movie and asks) Is there anything else I can get for you?
Tatum: hmmmm.... How bout some string cheese.
Daddy: alrighty then. (laughing out of the room)

Yes, we have created a monster! heehee

I was taking a test the other night and Tatum was playing Elf Bowl on the computer with Matt. They both started laughing, so I turned around to see what they were doing. When I turned around Tatum looked at me and said, "you just take your test!"

Yep, she the boss!
