Last night when I was at school Tatum and Taylor stayed with my parents until Matt got off of work, and Tatum lost her pappies (pacifier) over there. Mimi and Matt could not find it when they were ready to leave so they just came home. I got home from school late and Tatum was doing well without it. When it was time to go to bed she asked for it and when I told her that she was a big girl and that if she gave it up she was going to get a puppy, she went to bed without it. She didn't ask for it all night. She did have a crying spell for it this morning hen she woke up, but I kept reminding her that she was a big girl and that she was so close to getting her puppy, she was fine! She has not asked for it since!
Yes, I know that 4 1/2 is to long for a child to have a pappies, but it was her security. I hope that tonight is just as easy as last night was, she will soon be the proud co-owner of a new puppy!
Oh and she is expecting presents from Mimi, Aunt Sherry and Grandma Rheta. She mentioned you guys by name that would be so happy she gave up her pappies!
