Today we woke up early again to head out to San Diego. After the melt downs of last night I was a little hesitant to get back in the car. I prayed that God would give us all patience and that we (the kids) would have a good trip, I mean we only had about 6 hours in the car today! So before we got in the car Laurie set her GPS to take us to the nearest Starbucks, we followed the voice as she led us, and when she led us to a school, I knew that this might be an omen! We set off, coffeeless mind you, to Tucson Arizona! We get to Tucson and stop at a McDonald's, yet again for breakfast! YUCK!!! We decided to get out and let the kids stretch their legs. Man was that a mistake, they ran wild and were not interested one bit in eating. After that stop Jay said that he would not need the sugery anymore as he was just going die of stroke instead.
Off we go again, seriously we were in the car for no more that 30 minutes when a child from the back needed a bathroom break! This went on for the next 4 hours stoping at least every 30 to 40 minutes! A trip that should have been an easy one took us F.O.R.E.V.E.R!!! Once we got out of Arizona it was a breeze. The kids did really well after that!
I am not sure what this is, Laurie was manning the camera here. I am sure this was in Arizona though.
Here you can see some tracks for the dunebuggies. This a a huge tall dune, the picture does not do it justice.
This is home a way from home for the moment. We are in San Diego for the night and decided to splurge for a nice hotel on the bayfront. It is beautiful here. The weather is perfect for me and the scenery is breathtaking!
Sunset on the Harbor.

After a hard days of traveling, and lots and lots and lots and lots of whining and crying and whining and crying, how could you possibly be frustrated with them with pictures like this! :)
Funnies for today: In one stop we were an hour away from the nearest restroom and Brady really had to go, so we pulled over and let him tee-tee in a cup. Jay is in the backseat helping Brady, and Laurie and I are in the front waiting for Brady to finish up his business when we over hear

Jay: Brady, don't pull it, don't pull on it, let me get some scissors and I will just cut if off.
Laurie and I looked at each other and just died laughing.
Tomorrow we are going to tour a little more of San Diego and then drive up the Pacific Coast Highway and stop at the little beaches and bluffs before we get to LA. We are taking the kids to Seal Island and Laguna Beach.
Jay has his pre-op on Wednesday and will be in the hospital for most of the day doing bloodwork and the works. Thursday is the day of surgery. It is scheduled for 12:30 at the moment. Today is the first time I have heard Jay act little apprehensive about the surgery. He mentioned a few times today how he was not wanting to do it. I think that maybe nerves are setting in. So keep praying for him!
There will be more tomorrow, but for now we hope that you have a great day!
