Las Angeles or Bust.... we might just bust!

So we headed out at 6:00 this morning for our fun-filled trip to LA! We left at 6:15 and our first stop was Abilene, Texas for some heathy breakfast from McDonalds! If you will noticed we are stuffed in the van like you would not believe! There is stuff everywhere! Hey, you never know what you will need for a 2 week trip to LA!

Here Brady, Logan, Tatum and Jay enjoy their nutrious breakfast! Collin is behind Jay, but you can't see him for all the stuff

Here Laurie demonstrates her serious driving skills!

Then a cute pose

This is what we call Mountians in Texas!
Tatum is so excited to be going on a trip with her cousins!

Jay not wanting to be disturbed!

Can you believe that all the kids fell asleep about two hours outside of El Paso? Who knew we could be so lucky!

Yes folks we made it out of Texas! Taylor this is for you!

So now I am sitting in a hotel room in Arizona, Wilcox I think and I am trying to figure out what time it really is. You see Arizona, does not do daylights savings time, so are they on Mountian or Pacific? We finally got that figured out and now I am trying to hold off going to bed until 11:00 Arizona time.

Over all we have had a very successful trip and I can only think that it is because of all the prayers that we have going up in our behalf! I was so touched by Laurie and Jay's church family and what they have done for them. They are truely awesome! Everyone told us we would not make it out of Texas but the kids did so well, untill about Arizona, when I promised a Logan a popcicle and were we stopped, they had none! So started the meltdown that could not be avoided! So instead of making it to Tucson, we are in Wilcox, enjoying a quiet evening in a hotel room.
Jay is doing well and has a very positive outlook on his up and coming surgery. I am trying to take some of the load off by driving, so that he can relax and rest, but really, how much rest can you get with four kids under 5?!?
Tomorrow we are going to try and make it to San Diago and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway instead of fighting LA traffic head on!
Come back for more updates. I will try to do them nightly!

How many time did it take your sisters to pass the driving test? Serious driving skills and Laurie now that is a phrase I once never thought would be used.

You guys press on and tell Jay we are praying. Love to all

Robbie

Hey Karrie... not sure what's going on with Jay but wanted y'all to know Drommie and I are praying for safe travels and a successful surgery.

Um, Robbie, having to take the test three times sort of makes you an expert! No?
